Joanna and David | Bar SZ Ranch | Bay Area Wedding Photographer

Joanna and David could not have found a more perfect venue than Bar SZ Ranch for their unique and colorful wedding. There was such a great feeling of family and unity that was only possible by creating a wedding weekend, where the guests could stay together and celebrate much more than one afternoon together. This ranch was stunning! The family that runs it are so great to work with, and hands on making sure everything is working perfectly in every aspect of the day. At one point I found myself wearing the jacket of the owner while shooting formal portraits!! When good people unite for a joyous occasion like this, everyone is on deck to make it amazing. Of course having an amazing planning team like MOOI makes everyone’s job easier!

This was such a fun wedding to document! For one thing, any time you get to have a gorgeous bride absolutely ROCK a fascinator and custom made blue ombre gown… you hit the holy grail of bridal portraits. Even better than that, you can tell this group had a great bond, and we all had SO much fun! This is my favorite part, because that made for some incredible moments to photograph. The day started with gatherings for the both the men and women close to the bride and groom to enjoy time together, share laughs, and advice for the future. The ceremony that followed was one of the most heartfelt gatherings I’ve had the pleasure to witness. The circular set up was absolutely perfect for the inclusive and involved feeling they wanted for their ceremony. Finally, the reception was full of great food, lots of love and some pretty awesome dance moves!
